The 72Ui is a USB type data logger that enables the downloading of recorded data by connecting directly to a PC. Also, the newly added infrared communication function can now be used to collect recorded data from the TR-71Ui/72Ui without a PC.

By using a Data Collector TR-57DCi with infrared function, the collected data can be easily displayed in graph form without physically gathering the loggers, enabling the immediate on-the-spot checking of continually-changing data.

Collecting Recorded Data via Infrared Communication

By using a Data Collector TR-57DCi, it is possible to download the recorded data from a TR-71Ui/72Ui via infrared communication. This function releases you from the burden of physically gathering the data loggers or taking a PC to the measurement location to collect data.

Checking Collected Data on the Spot (Data Collector)

When using a Data Collector, you can download recorded data from a TR-71Ui/72Ui, and view the data in graph or list form without connecting to your computer. It is also possible to confirm the occurrence of a warning from the data recorded by a TR-71Ui/72Ui for which the Warning Monitoring Function has been set.

Simultaneous Monitoring of Multiple Channels of Data

With the attached software it is possible to view current measurements and current trends in a changing graph form. Graphs can be opened for the same number of units as are connected and can be simultaneously viewed.

Large Logging Capacity: 8,000 Data Sets

Each unit is equipped with a large logging capacity of 8000 data sets. (One data set consists of readings for all channels in that type of unit.)

Our special low energy consumption design gives the user one year of continuous operation with only one AA alkaline battery. As the battery allows for measurement and recording over long periods of time there is no need to worry about where you place it; whether it is in transit or in a distant place.

Battery life varies depending upon the type of battery, the measuring environment, the frequency of communication, and the ambient temperature in which it is used. The stated specifications are based on operations carried out with a new battery and are in no way a guarantee of your actual battery life.

Easy to Read Multi-Functional Display

The easy to read large sized LCD displays present readings, recording condition, battery life warning, amount of data readings, and unit of measurement among other things.

1. Channel Mark
The channel number of the measurement being displayed will appear.
2. Recording Mark
The recording condition will appear.
ON:Recording in progress.
BLINKING:Waiting for programmed start.
3. Data Capacity Scale
After every 2,000 readings the scale will be marked from left to right.
4. COM Mark
This will appear when data is being sent or received.
ON:USB cable is connected.
BLINKING:In communication with computer.
5. Recording Mode
ONETIME: When the number of recorded readings reaches 8000, "FULL" will appear in the unit's LCD display and recording will automatically stop.
ENDLESS: When the number of recorded readings reaches 8000, the oldest data reading will be overwritten and recording will continue.
6. Battery Life Warning Mark
When the battery power becomes low, this will appear in the LCD display. If the battery power becomes even lower, SLP will appear and normal operations will stop. If the mark appears, please change the battery as soon as possible.
7. Unit of Measurement
The unit of measurement for the display will appear.
8. Measurements and Message Area
Current measurements or operational messages such as FULL or SLP will appear.

Reliable Data Protection

With the reliable data protection function we have removed the worry about losing data when battery power becomes low.

When Battery Power is Low:
When the battery power becomes low, a battery life warning mark will appear in the Unit's LCD display to show the low battery power status. If within a short time the battery is changed, measurement and recording will not be interrupted and there will be no data loss. If the battery power becomes even lower the Unit will automatically go into sleep mode. In sleep mode, measurement and recording will stop and protect recorded data until this point for the following 2 - 3 months.

When Switch is OFF:
Even if the power has been turned off, the recorded data will be saved.

If the battery is further left unchanged even after the Unit has entered sleep mode, or if the battery is left out of the Unit for some time, only then will all recorded data be lost.
